1. Introduction

Tiny Match ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Tiny Match mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. By using Tiny Match, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Authentication credentials: Email address, display name, and a unique user identifier generated by Firebase Authentication.
  • Sign-in provider data: If you sign in using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and a unique provider identifier. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google account password.

2.2 App Usage Data

When you use Tiny Match, we collect and store:

  • Swipe data: Records of which baby names you have liked, disliked, or super-liked.
  • Preferences and filters: Your selected name preferences including gender, origin, vibe, and other filter criteria.
  • Partner matching data: Your partner pairing code and match results (names both partners liked).
  • Shortlists and notes: Names you save to your shortlist, rankings, reactions, and notes.

2.3 Crash and Error Data

We use Sentry for error monitoring and crash reporting. Sentry may collect:

  • Device information (device model, operating system version)
  • App version and build number
  • Stack traces and error logs
  • General usage context at the time of an error (e.g., which screen was active)

Sentry data is used solely for diagnosing and fixing bugs. It does not include your name, email, swipe data, or other personal content.

2.4 Purchase Data

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple's In-App Purchase (IAP) system and managed through RevenueCat. We receive:

  • A record of your subscription status (active, expired, trial period)
  • An anonymous RevenueCat app user ID linked to your account
  • Transaction identifiers provided by Apple

We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID password. All payment processing is handled directly by Apple.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide the core App features: name swiping, partner matching, shortlisting, and head-to-head comparisons
  • Deliver Daily Picks personalized to your preferences
  • Manage your subscription and restore purchases
  • Monitor, diagnose, and fix technical issues and crashes
  • Improve the App's performance and user experience
  • Communicate important updates about the App or your account (e.g., policy changes)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database, provided by Google. Firebase servers are located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL) between the App and our servers
  • Firebase Security Rules that restrict data access to authenticated users and their paired partners only
  • Secure storage of authentication tokens on your device

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We do not share your data with advertisers or ad networks. Tiny Match does not display third-party advertisements and does not use any advertising SDKs or tracking pixels.

We share data only with the following service providers, solely for the purposes described in this policy:

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and is contractually obligated to handle data in accordance with applicable laws.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and usage data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account:

  • Your account information, swipe data, preferences, shortlists, notes, and match data will be permanently deleted from our Firebase databases within 30 days.
  • Anonymized crash data in Sentry may be retained for up to 90 days for diagnostic purposes.
